Patricia Stensrud

Ms. Stensrud is a renowned 25-year veteran of the marketing business. An accomplished executive with seasoned experience in strategic brand building, financial turnarounds, operational execution and teambuilding, her career has spanned the fields of fashion, architecture, technology, and consumer beauty products with market leaders in each. A particular hallmark of her leadership style and success is a consistent ability to form strong partnerships and relationships with employees, customers and stakeholders. For Songmasters, she is lead consultant for brand identity and imaging initiatives.

Stensrud is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Hudson River Partners (HRP) which targets acquisition and investment opportunities featuring design-driven brands and companies with high potential for scalable growth and sustainable profitability. Translating good design into good, sustainable and "winning" business models, she provides strategic marketing consulting services to for-profit and not-for-profit enterprises.

Committed to the principle of strong design as a determinant of commercial success, she has provided innovative and entrepreneurial leadership in companies large and small, including President, Women's Sportswear Division for Tommy Hilfiger USA; CEO and Vice-Chairman, Victoria+Co fashion jewelry division of Jones Apparel Group; Product Marketing for fragrance, jewelry and intimate apparel divisions at Avon Products; Vice President of Marketing for award-winning retail design firm Hambrecht Terrell, International; and a variety of marketing and sales leadership positions with IBM.

As an active community leader, Stensrud serves on several not-for-profit boards in which she assists with the development of strategy, marketing and development. She is the current Board President of the Girl Scouts Council of Greater New York and has served in executive positions on numerous Boards ranging from the Center for Women�s Business Research in Washington, D.C.to the Board of Trustees for The Preservation Society of Newport County, Newport, RI. She is a former board member and Executive Committee member of Junior Achievement Inc. of New York, the Fashion Accessories Council (as a founding member), and Vice-Chair of Hudsonia Ltd. (a biodiversity research institute serving the Hudson Valley and New York City environs).

Stensrud has been the recipient of many professional honors throughout her career. A lifelong musician, she attended the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, New York, and holds both an MBA and BA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco where she graduated with honors.
