We also produce events for broadcast, most recently producing the acclaimed concert, Buddy Holly: Listen to Me for PBS, airing through 2013.
Songmasters recently launched Listen to Me, a turnkey and renewable multi-media entertainment platform produced by Songmasters to celebrate musicís most groundbreaking artists: the True. Great. Original. talents whose creative voices forever changed contemporary music. The series began with Listen to Me: Buddy Holly, to coincide with the 75th Birthday Celebration of the man, the music, and the legacy. Songmasters started the celebration by releasing the acclaimed album, Listen to Me Buddy Holly, (with tracks produced by mutli- GRAMMY® Winner Peter Asher) including performances by Stevie Nicks, The Fray, Zooey Deschanel, Ringo Starr, Lyle Lovett, Jeff Lynne, Jackson Browne, Pat Monahan of Train, Natalie Merchant, Brian Wilson, Chris Isaak, Cobra Starship, Patrick Stump, Imelda May and more. The following day, Songmasters held an invitation only concert, Buddy Holly: Listen to Me, filmed live from The Music Box in Hollywood, CA and airing on PBS through 2013. Songmasters has won three awards for its video productions related to both the album and the concert.
Proceeds from Listen To Me benefit the GRAMMY® Foundation, Songwriters Hall of Fame scholarship programs (Songmasters endows The Holly Prize), and Artists' House Music, a resource for young music professionals and performers. Fusing great music, some of todayís most outstanding talent, a top production team, and support for the next generation of songwriters/performers, Listen to Me: Buddy Holly is a fitting launch to the series. Every program Songmasters delivers, whether for our clients or for ourselves, benefits educational and charitable initiatives. This may be accomplished through partnerships with benefitting non-profits, direct contributions generated through elements Songmasters develops for our clients (e.g. music CDs), sponsorships, and more. As needed by our clients, Songmasters coordinates all associated relationships and philanthropic programs with partnered non-profits and benefitting charities. Our philanthropic services cover a broad spectrum, ranging from donor advisement to re-granting programs, and from oversight of existing program services to development of programs that effectively link the marketing aims of our clients with the charitable aims of beneficiaries. All philanthropic services are conducted at the direction of our clients. Songmasters provides these services at no additional cost to our clients, ensuring that 100% of all charitable revenues generated through clients' marketing and brand communications programs go directly to charitable beneficiaries.
